Local government codes require fireguards and fire safety directors in a variety of circumstances. They play a major role in the safety of large buildings and construction sites.
City of Los Angeles law requires that a fireguard must be provided for fire watch duties any time a fire alarm, sprinkler or standpipe is out of service in large commercial or residential buildings. Fireguards are also generally required at construction sites where the fire suppression systems have not yet been installed, or where open flame is in use. Frontal Security provides fully trained fire guards (FG) whose duties include monitoring fire related systems and completing reports, reporting fire conditions and coordinating orderly evacuation in the event of fire. Coordinating contact with the fire department during fire safety operations with detailed
information on location of fire, evacuation and problems with equipment, if any.
Maintenance and implementation of the fire safety plan
Supervision and training of fire brigade, floor wardens, deputy floor wardens and building
Conducting fire safety drills as required
Maintaining records as required by law
